LONDON, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Slower European buying amid stepped up flows of competing U.S. grades put the brakes on steep rises to offers for some West African grades on Wednesday, though sales were steady.
* Vitol was offering a cargo of Angolan Dalia for a second day but had yet to attract a buyer.
* Around 10 March-loading cargoes of Angolan crude remained unsold.
* South Africa's Sasol purchased a cargo of Nigerian Okwuibome crude.
* Chevron emerged as the buyer of Sonangol's last March-loading cargo, a Girassol, for around $1.50 a barrel, traders said.
* Nigerian flows to Europe again faced stiff competition from U.S. grades, capping gains to offers which rose steeply in recent weeks.
* BP last offered Escravos and Saturno at dated Brent minus $2.40, and Pazflor at dated Brent minus 25 cents.
