Earlier, Brazilian news website Metropoles and Bloomberg
reported that the country was mulling an early review of its
inflation targets to raise them, following criticism from
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva that the current interest
rate level was too high and that the country should pursue its
own inflation pattern rather than a European one.

BRASILIA, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Brazilian Institutional
Relations Minister Alexandre Padilha said on Thursday he is
unaware of any discussion regarding changes in the country's
inflation goals.
