MUMBAI, Feb 9 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 142.43 points, or 0.23%,
to 60,806.22, while the broader NSE index gained 23.6
points, or 0.13%, to 17,895.3, after struggling for direction
on concerns over the U.S. Federal Reserve's rate-hike trajectory
and a slide in Adani Group stocks. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.02% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.51 per dollar, as the dollar index's decline
helped the South Asian unit recover earlier losses. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.43
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.3432%; vs previous close of
7.3435%, a day ahead of a debt auction, while the sentiment
remained negative following a hawkish monetary policy guidance
from the country's central bank. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 1
bps at 6.79%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 5 bps to 6.36%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 30 bps at
6.70% against 6.40% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.62%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.3966%.
