MUMBAI, Feb 14 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 256.14 points, or 0.42%,
to 60,687.98, while the broader NSE index advanced 36.85
points, or 0.21%, to 17,807.75, tracking an overnight rally on
Wall Street. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.12% versus the U.S.
currency and was quoted at 82.63 in wake of a pullback on the
dollar ahead of the U.S. inflation data. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.09
rupees, with yield up 3 bps at 7.3945% after India's January
consumer inflation rate surprised on the upside. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 7
bps at 6.91%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 5 bps to 6.46%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 10 bps at
6.40% against 6.50% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.28%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.3383%.
