TOKYO, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Kazuo Ueda, the nominee to
become next Bank of Japan governor, said on Tuesday that if
parliament approves his appointment, "I will do my best."
He made the comments to reporters near his residence in
Tokyo. Ueda, an academic and former central bank policy board
member, was nominated earlier on Tuesday to replace outgoing
governor Haruhiko Kuroda. He made no further comments.
