ISTANBUL, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday. The lira traded at 18.8470 against the dollar at 0427 GMT, little changed from a close of 18.8450 on Tuesday. Istanbul's stock exchange was set to resume trading, which was suspended last week in the wake of the earthquakes. GLOBAL MARKETS Asian stocks slipped while the U.S. dollar was steadfast on Wednesday, following U.S. inflation data and remarks from central bank officials that have investors worrying interest rates are going to be higher for longer. EARTHQUAKE Nine survivors were rescued from the rubble in Turkey on Tuesday, more than a week after a massive earthquake struck, as the focus of the aid effort shifted to helping people now struggling without shelter or enough food in the bitter cold. The disaster, with a combined death toll in Turkey and neighbouring Syria exceeding 41,000, has ravaged cities in both countries, leaving many survivors homeless in near-freezing winter temperatures. ERDOGAN PROGRAMME President Tayyip Erdogan was scheduled to meet Malaysian Prime Minister Enver Ibrahim at the presidential palace (1030 GMT). Erdogan will then chair a meeting of his AK Party's central executive committee, which was likely to focus on last week's earthquakes and elections scheduled to be held by June (1430 GMT). A party spokesman generally gives a news conference after such meetings. BUDGET DATA The Treasury will announce budget data for January (0800 GMT). FOREIGN MINISTER Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will hold news conferences with his counterparts from Bosnia (0645 GMT) and Armenia (0845 GMT).
