Governor Philip Lowe said the soft January jobs data did not
affect the bank's assessment that the labour market was still
very strong, and they could reconsider if they see another weak
jobs report.

SYDNEY, Feb 17 (Reuters) - The head of Australia's
central bank said on Friday that the labour market was still
very tight, after data showed net employment fell for the second
straight month in January, while the jobless rate also surged to
an eight-month high.
