MUMBAI, Feb 17 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 341.38 points, or 0.56%,
to 60,978.13, while the broader NSE index lost 74.1
points, or 0.41%, to 17,961.75, tracking broad losses across
Asian gauges on concerns over rising Treasury yields. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.06% versus the U.S. dollar,
to 82.77 following hawkish comments from two U.S. Federal
Reserve officials. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.23
rupees, with the yield up 3 bps at 7.3744% as traders await debt
auction results. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 6
bps at 6.94%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 9 bps to 6.51%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 5 bps at
6.25%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.56%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.2384%.
