LONDON, Feb 20 (Reuters) - The Bank of England said on
Monday that Britain's insurers will know before year-end what a
long-trailed reform of their capital rules will look like, and
the Bank would not seek to use new powers to water down the
changes government has called for.
Firms will have a "very good sense well before the end of
2023 of how we expect the new regime to operate, so that they
can begin to adapt their investment plans as soon as they wish",
BoE Deputy Governor Sam Woods told the Association of British
Insurers' annual dinner.
