Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on February 20

ZURICH/BERLIN, Feb 20 (Reuters) - The Swiss blue-chip SMI was seen opening 0.2% higher at 11,276 points on Monday, according to premarket indications by bank Julius Baer . Here are some of the main factors that may affect Swiss stocks: NOVARTIS Novartis announced the appointment of Gilbert Ghostine as chairman-designate of Sandoz, the generics unit Novartis wants to spin off later this year.


SULZER The pump-maker reported full year net profit of 28 million Swiss francs after being hit by one-off impacts caused by the company's exit from Russia. The company said it expected sales growth of 7-9% in 2023 and operational profitability above 10%.
