BUCHAREST, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Romania's central bank
board unanimously voted at its Feb. 9 meeting to hold the
benchmark interest rate at 7.00% to anchor inflationary
expectations, minutes showed on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, the bank had lowered its annual
inflation forecast for this year, driven primarily by an
extended government energy support scheme, but said price growth
would not return to within its target band by 2024.
