MUMBAI, Feb 21 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 18.82 points, or 0.03%,
to 60,672.72, while the broader NSE index lost 25.6
points, or 0.14%, to 17,819, on caution ahead of the minutes
from the U.S. Federal Reserve's meeting amid fears of a
higher-for-longer interest rate regime. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.08% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.79 per dollar, tracking similar movements in
the dollar index, with Asian currencies declining ahead of the
release of Fed minutes. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.13
rupees, with the yield up 2 bps at 7.3898%, as traders await the
state debt auction result. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.93%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate stayed fixed to 6.52%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 5 bps at
6.55%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.21%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.5423%.
