MUMBAI, Feb 21 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 18.82 points, or 0.03%,
to 60,672.72, while the broader NSE index lost 17.9
points, or 0.10%, to 17,826.7 on caution ahead of the minutes
from the U.S. Federal Reserve's meeting amid fears of a
higher-for-longer interest rate regime. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.08% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.8179 per dollar tracking similar movements in
the dollar index, with Asian currencies declining ahead of the
release of Fed minutes. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.14
rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.3883% vs previous close of
7.3726% as a fresh sale of debt from states added to the overall
supply, while traders await the minutes of the central bank's
latest monetary policy. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 2
bps at 6.96%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 7 bps to 6.59%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 5 bps at
6.55% against 6.60% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.21%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.5423%.
