MUMBAI, Feb 23 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 10.28 points, or 0.02%,
to 59,734.7 as investors continued to fret over the likelihood
that central banks would have to keep raising interest rates to
tackle inflation. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.10% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 82.78 per dollar helped by the recovery in
its Asian peers. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.07
rupees, with yield down 3 bps at 7.3980% vs previous close of
7.4249% on value-buying following Wednesday's selloff. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
5 bps at 6.94%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 2 bps to 6.62%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 40 bps at
6.25% against 6.65% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.28%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.5431%.
