MUMBAI, Feb 24 (Reuters) -
STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 134.23 points, or 0.23%, to 59,740.03, while the broader NSE index advanced 41.2 points, or 0.24%, to 17,552.45, helped by the overnight recovery on U.S. equities. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee was little changed at 82.74 per dollar amid weakness on Asian peers ahead of the release of the U.S. inflation measure that the Federal Reserve prefers to gauge price pressures. GOVERNMENT BONDS: Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.22 rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.3762% ahead of the debt sale auction. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS: The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down 4 bps at 6.93%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 5 bps to 6.55%. CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 25 bps at 6.75% against 6.50% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.66%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.3510%. (Reporting by)
