BRASILIA, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Brazil's current account
deficit was $8.791 billion in January, the central bank said on
Friday, larger than the $8.2 billion shortfall forecast in a
Reuters poll with economists.
Foreign direct investment in January totaled $6.877 billion,
smaller than the $7.078 billion projected by economists.
