- In a letter on Thursday, U.S. Transport Workers Union,
which represents 6,800 JetBlue Airways flight
attendants, asked Attorney General Merrick B. Garland and
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to prevent the JetBlue
and Spirit Airlines merger.
- U.S. President Biden's administration nominated Ajay
Banga, the former longtime chief executive of Mastercard ,
to be the next president of the World Bank.
- U.S. federal prosecutors on Thursday added new details to
charges filed in December about Sam Bankman-Fried's campaign
donations, accusing him and two unidentified former executives
of FTX of using tens of millions of dollars in customer money to
illegally donate to federal political campaigns.
- Carlos Watson, the founder of the U.S. based troubled
digital start-up Ozy Media, was arrested on Thursday and charged
with multiple counts of fraud.
