Romania's Banca Transilvania net profit up 22.17% y/y in 2022

BUCHAREST, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Romanian lender Banca Transilvania
* Says its net profit was 2.18 billion lei ($467.64 million) in 2022, up 22.17% on the year, whereas Banca Transilvania Financial Group's consolidated net profit amounted to 2.49 billion lei.
* Says the BT Group's total assets amounted to 140.5 billion lei at the end of December, up 6.0% on the year.
* Says the non-performing exposures ratio of Banca Transilvania, according to the EBA ratio, is 2.44% as of Dec. 2022. The total coverage ratio according to the EBA standards is 195%.
* The bank's CAR, including the profit of the year was 21.62%.
* Says will propose to the Board of Directors that over 900 million lei of the 2022 profit be allocated for the bank's capitalization, with the remaining part being allocated to reserves from retained earnings.


* "2022 has been a very complicated year, marked by the war in Ukraine and multiple economic uncertainties, caused by inflation and by the energy crisis," said chairman Horia Ciorcila.
