ISTANBUL, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Turkey's lira hit a fresh record low of 18.8830 against the dollar on Friday,
after the central bank eased policy following massive
earthquakes that devastated parts of the country's southeast.
The Turkish central bank cut its main interest rate to 8.5%
from 9% on Thursday, in a move to ease the economic impact of a
devastating earthquake that killed more than 43,000 people in
country's south on Feb 6.
