SOFIA, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Bulgaria's producer prices dropped
by 4.2% on a monthly basis in January, mainly due to a decrease
in the production of electricity and heating, the statistics
office data showed on Tuesday.
Producer prices rose by 19.1% on an annual basis in January,
driven by energy prices which have jumped across the European
Union since Russia invasion of Ukraine, data showed.
Prices of gas, electricity and heating fell by 9.7% on the
month in January, while mining industry prices increased by
3.6%. The processing industry prices increased by 1.2%
month-on-month in January.
