HELSINKI, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Finland's gross domestic
product shrank by 0.6% in October to December last year, data
from Statistics Finland showed on Tuesday, in a second
consecutive quarter of contraction, meaning the country was in
recession.
In the previous quarter from July to September, Finland's
GDP had decreased by 0.3% from the previous quarter.
"Russia's attack on Ukraine and the rapid rate of inflation
weakened both consumers' and entrepreneurs' confidence in the
future," the office said, adding the weakened expectations began
to be realised in the latter half of the year.
In the whole of 2022, GDP grew by 2.0%, it said.
