BERLIN, Feb 28 (Reuters) - German import prices fell
slightly less than expected in January, the statistics office
said on Tuesday.
Compared to the previous month, import prices fell in
January by 1.2%. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a
monthly decline of 1.5%.
On the year, import prices were up 6.6% versus expectations
of a 6.3% increase, according to a Reuters poll of analysts.
This compared to an annual rise of 12.6% in December.

its website.
