With headline inflation in January hitting a 14-year high of
8.7% , the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said it would
continue to adjust its monetary policy stance as necessary to
prevent the further broadening of price pressures.

MANILA, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Philippine annual inflation
was likely within a range of 8.5% to 9.3% in February, with
upward pressure expected from higher cooking gas and food
prices, the central bank said on Tuesday, ahead of the data
release on March 7.
