Russian court upholds tax claim against Exxon - Interfax

Feb 28 (Reuters) - A Russian court has upheld a claim from the General Prosecutor's Office against U.S. oil major ExxonMobil over alleged unpaid taxes related to the Sakhalin-1 project, the Interfax news agency said on Tuesday.


Interfax reported in January that the General Prosecutor's Office had asked a court to recover 15.5 billion roubles ($207.2 million) in allegedly unpaid taxes from Exxon Neftegaz Ltd, ExxonMobil's Russian subsidiary. ($1 = 74.80 roubles) (Reporting by Reuters; Editing by Mark Trevelyan)
