TOKYO, March 2 (Reuters) - Japanese companies raised spending on plant and equipment in October-December by 7.7% from the same period a year earlier, Ministry of Finance (MOF) data showed on Thursday. The data is used to calculate revised gross domestic product (GDP) figures due on March 9 and follows a preliminary estimate that Japan's economy rebounded at a much-weaker-than-expected annualised rate of 0.6% in the fourth quarter.
