TOKYO, March 2 (Reuters) - Japanese companies raised
spending on plant and equipment in October-December by 7.7% from
the same period a year earlier, Ministry of Finance (MOF) data
showed on Thursday.
The data is used to calculate revised gross domestic product
(GDP) figures due on March 9 and follows a preliminary estimate
that Japan's economy rebounded at a much-weaker-than-expected
annualised rate of 0.6% in the fourth quarter. (Reporting by Tetsushi Kajimoto
