Remittances reached $4.4 billion in January, down from the $5.3 billion in December. The number of transactions, made mainly from the United States, increased in January by 11.1% year-on-year to reach 11.8 billion transactions, while the average amount per transfer grew 1.3% to $374 dollars. MEXICO CITY, March 1 (Reuters) - Remittances to Mexico
from abroad jumped 12.5% year-on-year in January, but fell from
the prior month, according to data published by the country's
central bank on Wednesday.
