STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 318.57 points, or 0.54%,
to 59,092.51, on concerns that the U.S. interest rate outlook.
The broader NSE index lost 80.9 points, or 0.46%, to
17,370. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.06% versus the U.S. dollar,
to 82.56, weighed by the overnight jump in U.S. yields. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.79
rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.4397% after long maturity U.S.
yields climbed to multi-year highs. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 3
bps at 7.02%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 4 bps to 6.65%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.35% against 6.35% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.24%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.2697%.
