KAMPALA, March 3 (Reuters) - The Ugandan shilling traded firmer on Friday, helped by healthy hard-currency inflows from charities and a tailing-off of importer appetite for dollars, traders said.

At 0854 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,705/3,715 to the U.S. dollar, compared to Thursday's close of 3,715/3,725.
