LONDON, March 3 (Reuters) - British lawmakers said on
Friday that they were launching an inquiry into how the Bank of
England's operational independence was functioning.
The Economic Affairs Committee of the House of Lords, the
upper house of parliament, said it would not review specific
policy decisions, but wanted to look at the BoE's role and
remit, as well as its governance and accountability structures.
