DEBT Treasury starts retail offering of new five-year BTP Italia inflation-linked bond, ends on March 8; subject to early closure. Italy on Friday set at 2% the minimum guaranteed real annual coupon on the inflation-linked bond.

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) Italian state investor CDP said on Sunday its board had approved a non-binding offer for the fixed network of former phone monopoly Telecom Italia, adding it would be valid until March 31. (*) The non-binding offer by CDP and Australian infrastructure fund Macquarie would be better than the one made by U.S. investment firm KKR by around 2-2.5 billion euros in terms of actual cash thus contributing to cut TIM's debt, according to a source close to the consortium.
NEXI Board meeting on FY results. Italy's Treasury said on Saturday it had kicked off discussions among relevant parties over plans to cut card payment fees for shopowners, as envisaged by the budget law for transactions worth up to 30 euros. A government source said the proposed changes envisaged zero fees on payments worth up to 10 euros, with decreasing fee cuts between 11 and 30 euros.
ENI Italian oil and gas group Eni said it would cooperate with Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) on energy transition projects, as Rome's new government works to rebuild ties with the United Arab Emirates.
Ruling coalition party Forza Italia is in favour of handing Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi another mandate, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Saturday.
ENEL , TERNA The Italian government is considering appointing Terna CEO Stefano Donnarumma as Enel's chief executive, sources have said, with former Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni seen as a strong candidate to become the new chairman of the country's biggest utility.
