SYDNEY, March 8 (Reuters) - Australia's central bank is ready to pause interest rate hikes at the next policy meeting in April if incoming data suggest that is the right course, Governor Philip Lowe said on Wednesday, after the bank raised interest rates to an 11-year high.

The board is completely open-minded at its meetings, Lowe said at the AFR Business Summit in Sydney, adding that he saw the reopening of China as positive for the Australian economy, although there were no particular implications on inflation in the country.
