LONDON, March 7 (Reuters) - Gate terminal B.V., a joint venture between Dutch gas grid operator Gasunie and tank storage company Vopak, said on Tuesday it is working on moving towards an investment decision on whether to expand its liquefied natural gas terminal capacity.

Last month, Gasunie said it was exploring the possibility of Gasunie of a 4 billion cubic metre (bcm) capacity expansion at the Gate LNG terminal in the Netherlands. "Gate will continue to work on a good business case and financing as to reach FID (final investment decision) in the coming months," the terminal operator said in a statement. Several European countries are trying to expand LNG import capacity and build more terminals following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and reduced Russian gas pipeline flows.
