(Adds Tengizchevroil statement)
March 7 (Reuters) - Daily oil output from Kazakhstan's
biggest oil producer, Tengizchevroil, was down by 11% over March
1-6 owing to unscheduled maintenance that could last up to two
weeks, two industry sources told Reuters.
Average daily output at the Chevron-led venture
developing the giant Tengiz field fell to 70,763 tonnes (563,000
barrels) during the first six days of March, down from 79,128
tonnes (630,000 barrels) in February. Liquefied petroleum gas
output fell 40% in the same period, Refinitiv data showed.
In a statement shared with Reuters on Tuesday,
Tengizchevroil said it had taken one production train offline
temporarily but declined to comment on current production
levels.
"One of six production trains at Tengiz has been safely and
temporarily taken offline for maintenance works," the company
said, adding that production will resume once the maintenance is
completed.
