BUDAPEST, March 8 (Reuters) - Hungary posted a budget
deficit worth 1,381.5 billion forints ($3.82 billion) in
February, widening the shortfall to 1,525.1 billion forints in
the first two months, the Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.
The ministry said it would aim to reduce the budget deficit
to 3.9% of gross domestic product this year. It said pension
spending jumped by 274.8 billion forints, or 27.4%, from
February 2022, due to pension hikes.
