Vietnam Jan-Feb exports down 10% y/y to $49.6 bln - customs dept

HANOI, March 9 (Reuters) - Vietnam's exports in the first two months of this year fell 10% from a year earlier to $49.64 billion, government customs data released on Thursday showed.


Imports in the January-February period fell 16.7% to $46.20 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $3.44 billion, the Customs Department said in a report.


In February, exports rose 10.3% from January to $26.05 billion, while imports were up 1.3% at $23.25 billion, it said.
