CERAWEEK-EPA chief says clean energy funds to advance regulatory goals

HOUSTON, March 9 (Reuters) - The head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said coming methane regulations will go "further and faster" because of funding available from the Inflation Reduction Act.


The federal agency that oversees clean air and water also has begun to consider the role of hydrogen gas in the energy stream when permitting new natural gas plants, Administrator Michael Regan said on Thursday in remarks at the CERAWeek energy conference.
