TABLE-Czech CPI rises 16.7% y/y in February, above expectations

March 10 (Reuters) - Czech consumer prices rose by 16.7% on a yearly basis in February, putting the month-on-month inflation rate at +0.6%, statistics office data showed on Friday. The year-on-year inflation rate dropped from a reading of +17.5% in January. Analysts in a Reuters poll had expected a 16.6% year-on-year rise, along with a 0.5% month-on-month increase. NOTE. The average rate of inflation over the past 12 months was 16.2%.
