Japan ruling party proposes cash handout to curb rising prices - Kyodo

TOKYO, March 15 (Reuters) - Japan's senior ruling Liberal Democratic Party proposed a cash handout to low-income households and an additional subsidy for those with children to curb rising prices, Kyodo news agency reported citing a senior lawmaker on Wednesday.


The Liberal Democratic Party's policy council chair, Koichi Hagiuda, made proposals to Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for distributing 30,000 yen ($222.72) to low-income households and an additional 50,000 yen per child, Kyodo said.
