MERIDA, Mexico, March 16 (Reuters) - Mexican Central
Bank Governor Victoria Rodriguez vouched for the country's
banking system on Thursday, calling it solid and sufficiently
liquid, just days after banking woes struck the United States
and Europe, sparking fears of wider contagion.
The head of the Mexican central bank, known locally as
Banxico, was speaking at an annual banking conference in the
southern city of Merida.
