Romania's current account deficit down at 949 mln euros in January

March 16 (Reuters) - Romania's current account deficit fell to 949 million euros ($1.01 billion)in January 2023, central bank data showed on Thursday.


Foreign direct investment was 1,176 million euros, compared with revised 872 million euros in the same period of last year. Long-term external debt at end of January 2023 ran at 104,7 million euros, up 7.2% against end of 2022.
