TOKYO, March 20 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan (BOJ)
Executive Director Seiichi Shimizu has been assigned to oversee
monetary policy, taking over from Shinichi Uchida who became
deputy governor, the central bank said on Monday.
Shimizu is among the BOJ's six executive directors, who
divide up the task of overseeing the central bank's various
operations including monetary policy, financial market affairs
and international liaison.
Uchida and Ryozo Himino formally assumed the BOJ's deputy
governor posts on Monday, succeeding Masayoshi Amamiya and
Masazumi Wakatabe.
