(Adds Telecom Egypt, JetBlue Airways, First Republic Bank, UBS) March 21 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1600 ET on Tuesday:


** Egypt has decided to suspend the sale of a stake in state-controlled Telecom Egypt because of market conditions, three sources close to the matter said.
** A U.S. judge on Tuesday scheduled an Oct. 16 trial in the U.S. Justice Department's lawsuit seeking to halt JetBlue Airways Corp's planned $3.8 billion acquisition of ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines Inc .
** First Republic Bank , the U.S. regional bank struggling to remain viable following a flight of deposits, is looking at ways it can downsize if its attempts to raise new capital fail, according to two people familiar with the matter.
** UBS is set to enter talks with Michael Klein to terminate a deal that would have seen the Wall Street dealmaker take control of much of Credit Suisse's investment bank, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.
** U.S. cable group Liberty Global intends to offer to buy out all remaining minority shareholders of Belgian telecoms company Telenet , it said.
** U.S.-based buyout fund KKR has agreed to sell a 50% stake in Spanish renewable energy company X-elio to Canadian asset manager Brookfield , the two funds said.
** France's Sopra Steria has agreed to buy Amsterdam-listed Ordina in a deal to combine the French firm's Benelux operations with its Dutch peer, the IT companies jointly announced.
** British education group Pearson said it would sell Pearson Online Learning Services to private equity group Regent for a deferred sum paid over a number of years, as it seeks to reshape its portfolio towards lifelong learning.
** Wyloo Metals, owned by Australian mining magnate Andrew Forrest, offered to buy all the shares of Mincor Resources it does not already own, valuing the nickel developer at A$750 million ($504 million).
** U.S. scientific instruments maker Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc and South Korea's Celltrion Inc are among those competing to acquire the biopharma solutions business of medical device maker Baxter International Inc , according to people familiar with the matter.
** Canada's Ritchie Bros Auctioneers Inc said it had completed the acquisition of U.S. auto retailer IAA Inc , weeks after two proxy advisory firms urged shareholders to reject the $7 billion deal. (Compiled by Rajarshi Roy and Tiyashi Datta in Bengaluru)
