JERUSALEM, March 23 (Reuters) - A far-right party in
Israel's coalition government accused Defence Minister Yoav
Gallant of abandoning the ruling right-wing bloc on Thursday
after local media reported that he would call for a halt to a
contested judicial overhaul.
"Yoav Gallant has removed himself from the rightist camp,"
the Jewish Power party of National Security Minister Itamar
Ben-Gvir said in a statement. Gallant is part of Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu's conservative Likud party.
