Polish MPC rejected proposals for 25 and 100-basis-point hikes in Feb

WARSAW, March 23 (Reuters) - Poland's Monetary Policy Council (MPC) rejected motions to raise the main interest rate by 25 and 100 basis points at its February sitting, voting records showed on Thursday. Joanna Tyrowicz voted in favour of the motion to raise the main rate by 100 basis points, while Ludwik Kotecki and Przemyslaw Litwiniuk supported a 25-basis-point hike. The MPC instead kept its main rate on hold at 6.75% in February. (Reporting by Alan Charlish; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
