BEIJING, March 24 (Reuters) - China Minmetals Chairman Weng Zuliang said the room for cooperation with Rio Tinto is broad now that China's economy is stabilising, according to a statement on the company's webite released on Friday.

Weng made the remarks while meeting with visiting Rio Tinto CEO Jakob Stausholm and his delegation on March 23, adding that he hopes the two sides can effectively deepen cooperation in iron ore trading and exploration, according to the statement.
