March 24 (Reuters) - South Africa's Northam Platinum reported on Friday a jump of 67% in half-year profit,
boosted by higher platinum group metal (PGM) production.
Northam's headline earnings per share - the profit measure
commonly used in South Africa - was 16.09 rand ($0.8890) in the
six months to Dec.31, compared to 9.62 rand previously.
