Turkey - Factors to Watch on March 27

ANKARA, March 27 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday. The lira stood at 19.0750 against the dollar at 0420 GMT, slightly weaker than its close of 19.0600 on Friday. The main BIST 100 share index closed 0.59% lower at 5,031.98 points on Friday.


GLOBAL MARKETS Asian shares struggled on Monday while U.S. and European stock futures edged higher on hopes authorities were working to ring fence stress in the global banking system, even as the cost of insuring against default neared dangerous levels.


ERDOGAN PROGRAMME President Tayyip Erdogan will attend a groundbreaking ceremony in the earthquake-hit city of Adiyaman. (1300 GMT)


IRAQ OIL Iraq halted crude exports from the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region and northern Kirkuk fields on Saturday, after the country won a longstanding arbitration case against Turkey.


GRAIN DEAL Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan spoke by phone with Russia's Vladimir Putin on Saturday and thanked him for his "positive attitude" in extending the Black Sea grain deal.


CAPACITY UTILISATION The central bank will release capacity utilisation data for March (0700 GMT).


MANUFACTURING CONFIDENCE The central bank will also announce manufacturing confidence data for March (0700 GMT).
