BUDAPEST, March 28 (Reuters) - Hungary posted a current
account deficit HUCAQ=ECI worth 4.336 billion euros ($4.69
billion) in the fourth quarter, bringing the full-year deficit
to as much as 13.724 billion euros, central bank data showed on
Tuesday.
That compares with a full-year C/A gap of 6.252 billion
euros in 2021. The trade deficit surged to 14.9 billion euros
last year as energy import costs soared.
The fourth-quarter current account deficit narrowed slightly
from a revised 4.539-billion-euro gap in the third quarter.
