STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 40.14 points, or 0.07%,
to 57,613.72, while the broader NSE index lost 39.15
points, or 0.23%, to 16,946.55, as caution about broader
economic challenges and a sharp slide in Adani group stocks
soured sentiment. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.22% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 82.1875 per dollar, as rescue of failed
U.S.-based Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) calmed worries about a
larger fallout in the sector GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.57
rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.3225%, s traders await state
debt auction result. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was
unchanged at 6.73%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate stayed fixed to 6.22%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 90 bps at
5.80% against 6.70% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.35%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.6956%.
