TOKYO, March 29 (Reuters) - It is important to maintain
ultra-loose monetary policy in order to support Japan's economy
and lay the groundwork for companies to hike wages, Ryozo
Himino, deputy governor of the Bank of Japan (BOJ), said on
Wednesday.
His comment came in a parliament session at which BOJ
Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said Japan was heading closer to
sustainably achieve the bank's 2% target as wage pressures were
heightening.
Kuroda's second, five-year term ends in April.
